WHO WE ARE

KINDGERARTEN

Creative Play School is a designed to be a place where children are encouraged to play, learn, think, and grow so they can become the best of who they were designed to be. We know that the values formed in childhood become the foundation for beliefs and actions for the rest of our lives.
We are a part-time enrichment program that meets from September through May for children 2 to 5 years old. The program includes experiences in music, art, Spanish, chapel, library and kindergarten readiness skills. Children are lovingly cared for and every effort is made to provide for their safety, comfort and happiness. Our program is a ministry of County Line Church.
Our Kindergarten Program is for kids who be 5 years old on, or before August 1st. They will have to pass a simple screening for readiness to participate in the program. Our curriculum includes Math, Reading, Science, Art and the Bible. Class is limited to 16 children with a teacher and an aide.
In Indiana, and 34 other states, Kindergarten is optional, and not mandatory. This program is designed to offer parents an alternative to a full-day Kindergarten. It will be developmentally appropriate for 5 & 6 year olds with a short day, excellent adult/child ratio with an engaging, creative curriculum. This Kindergarten program will be under the administration of Creative Play School and County Line Church of God.

MORE ABOUT US

Creative Play School was originally organized over 25 years ago by a group of mothers who wanted to provide a quality enrichment and socialization experience for their children. In 2002 it became part of the Kids Ministry of County Line Church. The annual enrollment is around 180 part-time children.
Classes are limited to 12-18 children, depending on their age, and each class has a teacher and an aide. The program encourages play, discovery, socialization and creativity. Tuition for the program covers staff salaries and supplies for the children. The church underwrites the use of facilities, utilities, maintenance and custodial care.

PHILOSOPHY

Our mission is to restore our communities by offering a quality pre-school program that enriches the lives of children and their families. Our vision is to partner with parents by providing a quality, faith-based setting where children experience development opportunities for their mind, body, and spirit, as well as a play-based introduction to kindergarten readiness skills.
We know that children learn best when given the freedom to play and discover in a safe and interesting environment. We think it is important to offer a variety of creative opportunities that are developmentally appropriate where they can learn new concepts, accomplish new tasks, and practice problem solving and relational skills. We are intentional about introducing experiences that will help prepare them to be successful learners in the classroom and in life.
